Enable Gmail Keyboard Shortcuts:
- Go to Gmail Settings by clicking on the Cog icon, and then click on See All Settings.
- Search for the Keyboard Shortcuts option. As you can see, it is turned off by Gmail by default. Just enable it and you are good to go.
- Save the Settings by clicking on the button at the bottom.
Useful Gmail Keyboard Shortcuts:
Compose New Message – C
Access Search Bar – /
Move the cursor to the newest email – K
(You can navigate by using the arrow keys and hit Enter to open the Mail)
You can also use the keys K and J to navigate up and down respectively.
Archive the conversation – E
Select one or Multiple emails – X
Add or Remove Star – S
Mark as Spam – !
View older Emails – J
When you open an Email, navigate through old emails by using the key J, and newer emails by using the key K
Open/View the Email – Enter or O
Return back to the email list (close email) – U
Reply (You should open the Mail) – R
Reply to all Recipients – A
Open the Label Menu (Label a Conversation) – L
Archive the Conversation – [ & ]
Undo Previous Action – Z

Remove the Cursor from Input box – Esc
Delete Mail (Move to Trash) – # (Holding Shift + 3)
