Apple to remove the Sim Card Slot from future iPhone models.

As the World is moving toward the Digital Era, Apple Plans to Remove the Sim Card Slot from Future iPhone Models.

In recent years, Apple has stopped providing Earphones and chargers in the box. They have also removed the AUX port from the phone. Now, they are thinking of removing the Sim Card Slot as well.

Mark Gurman has reported that Apple is thinking of Pushing eSIM by eliminating the Physical Sim Card Slot.

eSIM (Embedded SIM) is a Digital SIM that is embedded into the Phone. So, there is no need for any Physical Sim Card.

By removing the Sim Card Slot, the iPhones can get a little slimmer. Moreover, it can further improve water resistance in iPhones.

The iPhone 14 will be introduced at the Apple Sept 2022 event. However, eSIM Technology is still not available in all countries, so we can expect this change from iPhone 15 or later versions.

Apple already sold iPhone 13 variants that support eSIM. So, we can expect Apple to release different variants of iPhone 14 with and without Sim Card Slots.

In the upcoming event, Apple will be announcing the brand new iPhone 14 along with iOS 16, Apple Watch 8, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Pro, and Airpods Pro.
